About Us – a mobile mechanic in W3 and HA6

I am Auto Nawras, a mobile mechanic who works within the W3 and HA6 areas of London.

I have been working as a mechanic since 1995, starting alongside my grandfather. I specialise in BMW and Mercedes vehicles, although can work with all makes and models of cars.

During the school holidays, I would spend time with my grandfather in his workshop, earning money for school supplies like pens, notebooks, a bag, and clothes. Seeing the smiles and heartfelt thanks from customers when we repaired their cars made me fall in love with being a mechanic! The hands-on work, the focus required, and the satisfaction of fixing cars fuelled my passion for my job.

When I moved to London, I worked with Mr. John, a mechanic for Rose Rays Bentley. He once told me, “You may take longer to repair the car, but you do it right the first time, so the customer doesn’t have to return.” This was due to my experience with BMW and Mercedes, which have different engines. I appreciated his understanding. I continued working and furthered my education, obtaining diplomas from universities.

The company manager appreciated my work and suggested that I become a mobile mechanic in our area. I embraced this role, listening to customers describe their car problems for five to fifteen minutes, diagnosing the issue, explaining the inspection process, and providing a detailed quote and timeline for the repair.

Some customers, pressed for time, would leave their car keys in a garden and send me the address and a photo. Traditional garages often have long wait times, sometimes up to a week. I repair the car on the same day, right in front of their house.

I document the process with videos and photos, showing the damaged parts and the new parts once the repair is complete. I send these updates to the customer via WhatsApp or email. This way, even though the customer is at work, they can see every step of the repair and feel reassured.
